For those of you who missed, here’s Revised chapters Wave 1.

Nothing much to say, I am working my ass off to edit the chapters as soon as possible as I want to start Book 2 as soon as possible.

I have some crazy ideas which I want to write, and enough time has passed for Rigel to actually turn into a badass.

So here’s the 2nd wave.

Revised chapters – 1st wave

I am aiming for quality and great reader experience. I do not want anyone to complain that Rigel: The Savage World has a poor beginning due to grammar.

Thus, I chose to edit all 55 chapters before starting Book 2. I won’t say that the revised chapters are perfect, but they are a lot better than the first drafts.

There will be a second revision, and a paid Proofreading before I publish the book in July. Meanwhile, I am working on Book 2 and editing Book 1.

Don’t think that editing is a nice and cool job. I need 2 hrs to edit – check – PR – final check each chapter. So I have been working at least 8 hours a day for the past three days to bring you these chapters.

I highly recommend that you should read them all. Not because you won’t understand Book 2 if you don’t, but I want you to see Rigel: The Savage World at its best.

Revision Plans

Hey guys,

I have been busy the last couple of days rewriting parts of Book 1 and editing the chapters. I know from personal experience that the past chapters aren’t really how you remember they are, and as I read through chapters, I am seeing a ton of mistakes which makes me wonder just how I wrote them.

So, I am determined to edit all 55 chapters before starting Book 2. The reason for this is simple, I want all of you to have the best experience possible while reading Rigel and I don’t want to cut corners in my efforts.

I will be reposting all the chapters again on Royalroadl, while I will just update the existing chapters on my website. The reason for doing this only on my website is because, it is just inconvenient for me to delete all the posts on my website whose links are everywhere, from TOC to Reddit.

So that’s it. It is May 23rd and I have less than a week to edit 50 chapters. Let me tell you, editing is mind boggling. I am losing all my mental facilities upon editing for just 2 hours. Now, I have a lot more respect to all the editors out there.

Also, I highly recommend reading all the chapters once again. The edited chapters are nothing like the past, they are smooth, without 90% grammatical errors and are awesome.

The reuploading of edited chapters starts today, and will continue until the end of May.

You guys are awesome and have a nice day.

Rigel: The Savage World – Book 1 – Chapter 55 – Behind the Mask of Love

Author note: Hi guys, GSD Reddy here and I am back with another chapter.

Edit – GSD Reddy.

The last chapter of Book 1.

Enjoy and Thank you.

Behind the Mask of Love:

“Everyone,” Ragnar’s cold voice resonated in the minds of all Spark formation experts within the hall. “Wait for my signal. I refuse to believe that one man can fight against an entire clan.”

All the elders frowned as they tightened their fists. Waves of energy swept the Great Hall while violent sounds resounded in their ears. They watched helplessly as their Matriarch stood on their feet no matter how many times she fell to her feet. Her body was drenched in crimson blood while her weary eyes spoke of untold pain. Her injuries had far exceeded her limits, and yet she stood, protecting them.

Every person in the Great Hall knew that none of them was a match to Li. Together they may have a chance, but a desperate attack will have devastating consequences. They looked at each other and thought of their children. Death may be their last friend in this mission, and they promised each other through dull eyes and unspoken gazes that they shall look after the other’s family no matter the consequences.

Li gritted his teeth and attacked Shanya with all his might. His face was dark as Shanya defended against his attack. He had calculated everything before he chose to launch an attack. Even though he was surprised when Shanya took out a top-tier Soul Ignition stage defensive artifact, he wasn’t shocked.

However, what shocked him was the unyielding perseverance of Shanya. She took hundreds of his attacks, and he had no doubt that she was way past her limits. One second of carelessness and she would directly die from his attack, and yet she refused to go down. Her eyes were calm, despite her state. They spoke of the confidence she had in one man, Liongate.

“Liongate,” muttered Li to himself. It had been fifty years since they had last fought.

Li wasn’t afraid of Liongate, but he didn’t like the confidence Shanya had in him. She should know the difference between our strengths. He is no match for me. Then, why do you believe in him so much? Li wanted to ask.

He can’t defeat me, nor can he save you. Then why believe in him? Li knew there was only one possible answer to his question.

Liongate’s power had grown by leaps and bounds during the fifty years he hasn’t seen him. “So he is your trump card,” though Li.

It was at this moment; he got a message through a transmission scroll that Liongate had entered the Soul Ignition mode.

The message was simple without any further details, but that alone was enough for Li to put together the whole story. Shukla, Boler, and Leyden had failed to stop Liongate.

Li looked at Shanya. Staring at her eyes, he was certain that he wouldn’t be able to kill her before Liongate returns. He gritted his teeth and lowered his head, the air around him crackled and the next instant, a violent surge of energy burst out from him destroying the floor, pillars, and the hall.

Matriarch Shanya’s eyes were filled with despair as she involuntarily took a step back. She coughed up blood and fell to her knees. “Is this it? Is this how I am going to die,” Shanya thought.

She was not a match for Li. The minute he had used Soul Ignition, she knew that she had lost.

Li looked at Shanya in confusion. He had expected her to enter the Soul Ignition as soon as he did. Suddenly realization hit him. Shanya was no longer capable of using Soul Ignition.

Although Soul Ignition may seem like a very powerful ability, it was nothing more than a trade for a brief surge of power. Every time an expert uses Soul Ignition, his soul grows weak, and his cultivation base becomes fragile. However, it is said that Spirit tempering actually begins at this stage.

Soul Ignition stage experts may be considered dominant in cultivation world, but they are nothing in front of Spirit Tempering stage experts. Nobody really knows how one can temper one’s spirit because it is said to be different for everyone.

A sigh reverberated in the Great Hall as Li abruptly disappeared from his position and reappeared before Shanya. His eyes were calm as his hand slowly touched her head.

Shanya looked at Li with weary eyes; she no longer had any power to resist him. Li stared at her and said in a low voice, “Shanya, you didn’t yield until the moment of your death. My job today is to kill you, I am afraid, I can’t show mercy. In return, I promise not to harm any other member of your clan. Die peacefully.”

Shanya’s eyes widened as she heard Li. Although she could feel his hand approaching her neck, she didn’t try to resist. As long as Ezareal was safe, she wouldn’t mind dying for him.

“NOW!!” roared Ragnar.

Li raised his hand and was about to deliver the final strike when he suddenly heard the roar of Ragnar.

Shanya raised her head and stared at Ragnar who stared back at her. Their eyes met for one second. She could see Ragnar and behind him was Orlon. No words were exchanged to tell Shanya the reason behind his sudden attack. The confidence in his eyes spoke a thousand words.

Her feet suddenly stomped the floor, and she retreated at high speed. The defensive artifact leaf appeared around her as she rushed towards Ezareal. Twenty Spark formation experts including Ragnar surrounded Li; everything happened in an instant.

“DON’T YOU DARE UNDERESTIMATE ME!” Li roared, and his aura exploded forth like a cyclone enveloping the hall. His eyes turned red while his muscles rippled as his figure disappeared and appeared before an elder.

“Careful!” Ragnar roared in a loud voice and punched the air. A boom rang out as an energy wave shot towards Li. Every person attacked Li with all their strengths at the same time.

Li’s eyes twitched as he sensed all the attacks. His body shivered slightly as they landed on him, his robe was destroyed, and black charred marks appeared all over his body, but not a single wound could be seen on him.

“Impossible!” Orlon said in a stunned voice. He had used his ultimate attack and so did all the twenty Spark formation stage experts and yet they weren’t able to even injure Li.

Li narrowed his eyes as he stared at everyone. His eyes lacked all emotions as his hand casually grabbed an elder and ripped his head off his body. Just how powerful was a Spark formation stage expert’s body? And yet Li had ripped his head off without the slightest bit of effort.

Finally, for the first time, Ragnar and Orlon understood just how powerful Li was. They couldn’t help but shiver under his gaze.

“Very well, I don’t care anymore. Anyone in my way shall die, starting with you Ragnar.” Li said in a cold voice.

“Father,” Derek shouted in a worried voice while Ravel broke free of Rigel’s grip and directly rushed towards Ragnar.

At that moment, the energy in the hall surged violently as a figure appeared before Li. His robe was in tatters while his hair was disheveled. However, his aura was even more tyrannical than Li and beyond anything ever experienced by anyone.

“Father,” Ragnar said in an excited voice.

“Lord Patriarch,” everyone saluted with hope in their eyes.

Liongate glanced at the destroyed Great Hall. His eyes gradually turned dead cold as he saw the dozens of corpses which were lying around, some burnt, some mutilated, some beyond recognition.

“Everyone stand back,” Liongate said in a cold voice as he stared at Li.

Li sighed heavily as he heard Liongate. He loosened his fists and stared at Liongate with a complicated expression in his eyes. Liongate frowned as he saw Li’s reaction. He could not understand the meaning behind them, but he had a bad feeling.

“Arrrgh!” a moan of utter pain resounded in the hall answering Liongate’s questions.

Everyone turned around and stared at the source of the voice hoping that they were wrong. Liongate’s eyes widened as he stared at Matriarch Shanya, who coughed up blood as she moaned in pain. A dagger twisted in her chest and behind her stood Ezareal, who was looking at everyone with a cold expression.

Shanya fell to her feet while Ezareal calmly pulled back the dagger, she glanced at him, her eyes in disbelief and repeatedly asked a single question, “Why? Why Ezareal?”

Under everyone’s gazes, Ezareal calmly cleaned the dagger with a cloth revealing its true crimson color and a sinister aura suggesting it to be a Soul Ignition stage weapon. He then put the dagger back in his bag of holding and glanced at Matriarch Shanya.

For the first time in his life, a crazed smile appeared on his face. His true nature revealed, he twisted his neck and said in a low voice, “because I can. What are you going to do? Kill me? I don’t think so. Li!”

Lord Li suddenly appeared behind Ezareal and grabbed him. Ezareal glanced at Shanya and smiled widely. Even though he betrayed her, even when she was going to die, she still looked at her only grandson with kind eyes. Even at the time of her death, she was unable to hate him.

Author Note: This completes the Book 1 of Rigel: The Savage World.

*) All the events in this book shall show their real purposes in Book 2.

*)The reason why Ezareal betrayed Shia clan. Who is Ian? Why does he wish to destroy the Shia clan? What does this all have to do with Rigel? The relation between Blood Emperor and Rigel. Rudra – Tal and the Black Pearl. The asura poison evolution. The Dao of Yin and Yang, the relationship between Rigel and Ravel.

These are some of the things that are going to be in Book 2.

→ Also, some may say that this Book doesn’t have Rigel in the active role. I say, yes, Rigel is still too weak to contend against Soul Ignition. The next book will have super awesome battles, an epic war, and an even more epic ending. Rigel will be the focal point in Book 2.

I am taking some time off to prepare for Book 2. Since I am done posting all my promised chapters, I will post at my will from now on. However, if there is any donation/ increase in pledges, I shall post the sponsored chapter within 24 hours.

Also, I am going to revise, re-edit and improve the fine details of all 55 chapters. Then, I will repost them all.

I found an artist and we decided on a setting for the cover pic. Once she is done with the rough art, I will commission her services. The cover art will be done in probably 30 days.

Soul Ignition:

Orlon narrowed his eyes and tapped his bag of holding, a green saber flew out and floated before him as his body tensed in anticipation of the fight. Patriarch Liongate took a step forward and stood before Orlon. However, he didn’t rush to attack because he knew from experience that Shukla wasn’t bluffing. They did have a method to stop him.

No matter how powerful a Spark formation stage expert was, he was still nothing in front of a Soul Ignition stage expert. However, Shukla, Boler, and Leyden seemed suspiciously confident to fight head on against Liongate.

“Be careful Orlon,” warned Liongate.

Compared to Orlon, Liongate was far more experienced. He had seen far too many instances where experts had fallen due to their sheer carelessness.

Orlon grabbed the green saber as he heard Liongate. He wasn’t sure if Patriarch Liongate was overly cautious, but he trusted his judgment.

While Orlon grew up in the safety of the Shia clan, Liongate roamed the world and established a clan on his own.  Thus, it was even impossible to compare the difference in their experiences.

Leyden glanced at Liongate’s cautious behavior and frowned slightly. For their plan to work, Liongate had to attack them with his whole strength. His cautious attitude was within their calculations, but they didn’t expect that he would be so cautious towards three Spark formation experts.

Usually, any Soul Ignition stage expert would try to kill them without waiting for a second more in such a situation, but Liongate was willing to think carefully before making his move. They had severely underestimated the control Liongate had over him.

Leyden snorted coldly and thought, “This is going to be troublesome.” He glanced at Liongate and said in a ridiculing voice, “What the? I heard that you were a great warrior. Afraid of mere Spark formation stage experts, this isn’t like you Liongate. Very well, let’s wait it out. A few more minutes and our work will be done here.”

Liongate narrowed his eyes as he heard Leyden. A cold glint surfaced in his eyes as he finally realized that he had been right all along.

“Fool,” Boler scolded Leyden through his divine sense, “You just proved his thoughts. He was cautious because he was unsure about our objectives. Now, he knows that we do have a method to stop him.”

Leyden looked at Boler and answered in a calm voice, “And, what does this change? He still isn’t aware of our trump card Boler. Furthermore, I openly declared that we do have a trump card to deal with him.

Now he will be unsure whether I was lying or was merely telling the truth. I threw him from one mystery into another. He is like a rat trapped in a dungeon of traps. There is nothing he can do to escape from our encirclement.“

Shukla smiled slightly as he realized their thoughts. However, it wasn’t just Shukla; Orlon had also released the meaning behind Leyden’s words. He gritted his teeth as he finally realized why Liongate was cautious before.

Leyden, Boler, and Shukla, all of them were completely different kinds of people. Strong, cunning and selfish. None of them would hesitate to throw each other at death’s door if they could escape instead and yet, such people were working together.

It only meant one thing. They were all under the control of someone. A person capable of making these people throw their self-esteem aside and cooperate to fight against a Soul Ignition stage expert.

Would such a person only send three Spark formation stage experts to fight Liongate without a plan? No, he definitely wouldn’t.

Orlon finally understood why Liongate said that they were dangerous. It wasn’t just them they were fighting against. The one they needed to be cautious about was the person behind them.

Liongate frowned as he thought about Leyden’s words. Being a supreme expert in cultivation world, he could naturally see through Leyden’s plan. Any normal person would indeed be trapped in Leyden’s scheme, but cultivators are not that easy to manipulate and certainly not someone who was at Liongate’s level.

Liongate eyes grew cold as Shanya’s message resonated in his mind. He knew that Shanya had a top-tier Soul Ignition stage defensive artifact, so he was sure that she would be able to hold for a few minutes.

However, if he wasted any more time. Liongate did not want to think about the consequences. He took a deep breath and straightened his back. He looked at Shukla, Boler and Leyden coldly and tapped his heart twice.

Leyden looked at Liongate in confusion and asked in a small voice, “What is he doing?”

Boler narrowed his gaze as he saw Liongate’s action. He had a hunch, but he didn’t want to believe that Liongate can be so reckless.

“I have no need to use this to deal with you bastards. However, it looks like you have something up your sleeve. Very well, since you don’t fear death, why don’t I show you, just what happens when I go all out.” Liongate said in a cold voice and continued, “Soul Ignition.”

Shukla, Leyden, Boler and even Orlon widened their eyes in shock as Liongate’s aura soared to heavens as his cultivation base grew several times stronger within mere seconds and his eyes turned red in anger.

The air around him crackled while the ground beneath his feet sunk under extreme pressure. Liongate’s muscles rippled while he tightened his fists.

Soul Ignition is an ability unique to Soul Ignition stage experts. Using the Spark cultivated in Spark formation stage, they ignite their souls, briefly increasing the power of their cultivation base by several levels.

However, the number of times a Soul Ignition stage expert can use it varied for everyone. Some could only use it once a day while others can use it up to three times. It depended on the power of their souls and the quality of the Spark they formed during Spark formation stage.

Such a power came with its disadvantages. After using the Soul Ignition, the expert will temporarily enter a state of complete defenselessness. So, unless he can finish them off within that short span of time, he would instead die in their hands. Thus, none of them ever imagined that Liongate would use Soul Ignition to deal with them while he still had to deal with Lord Li.

“You crazy bastard, you actually used Soul Ignition to deal with us.” Shukla roared in anger and immediately retreated without any hesitation. Leyden and Boler cursed in their hearts and followed Shukla. They no longer had any intention of fighting Liongate.

Originally, they had a Soul draining poison when used in proximity can stun a Soul Ignition stage expert for a few minutes. Using this chance, they wanted to kill Liongate. However, now that Liongate was in Soul Ignition state, such a treasure was of no use. He was impervious to all techniques, divine abilities and poisons.

Fighting him in his current state meant only death. Forget about them; even Lord Li wouldn’t be able to resist the current Liongate without entering the Soul Ignition state himself.

“You aren’t going anywhere.” Liongate roared in fury and disappeared from his spot.

Shukla bit his lip until blood leaked into his mouth. He didn’t think that he would have to face Liongate. As Shukla heard Liongate’s roar, his body shook as he coughed up a mouthful of blood. The very next instant, he felt an intense sense of danger.

Before he could react, he felt an enormous pressure on his back. Shock flashed through his eyes while his body trembled instinctively as a fist descended and smashed him to the ground.

The ground underneath Shukla shook and layers upon layers of earth deformed as a crater formed underneath him.

Boler and Leyden were thoroughly shaken to their core. Although they knew how destructively powerful Soul Ignition was, it was their first time experiencing the full might of such power.

Liongate’s face twisted as he grabbed Shukla by his head and smashed it to the ground and then punched the back of his head with all his might

Shukla moaned in pain as his bones cracked while his face became a bloody mess. Boler didn’t wait any longer and immediately took to his feet and ran as if his life was on the line. Upon seeing Shukla’s fate, it didn’t take him a second more to realize that falling in Liongate’s hands meant a single fate, death.

Leyden and Boler ran in opposite directions. Who among them would be the next target, they didn’t know, but they were ready to take chances. This way, one of them would have an opportunity to survive. If one was chased, it meant that the other would be able to escape. Both could only hope that it would be the other.

Orlon finally recovered from his shock as he stared at Liongate. For as long as he could remember, he had never seen such a furious side of him. His eyes flickered as he saw Boler and Leyden escaping in opposite directions. However, he didn’t chase them, but instead began to rush towards the Shia clan.

Boler, Leyden, and Shukla were originally no match for Liongate and in his current state, it was only a matter of seconds before they died in his hands, so Orlon wasn’t worried.

His eyes, however, were dark as he thought of Taeron and Leya. He didn’t know if they were safe. Compared to Leya, who was a Spark formation stage expert, he was more worried about Taeron. His fists tightened as he looked at the distant Shia clan and said to himself in an anxious voice, “Be safe Taeron.”

Rigel: The Savage World – Book 1 – Chapter 53 – Patriarch Li

Author note : Hi guys, GSD Reddy here and I am back with another chapter.

Edit – Self-edited.

This is the (6/6)th and the final promised chapter of this month. With this chapter, I have completed my obligatory chapters.

Enjoy and thank you.

Patriarch Li:

“Nooooooooo!” Ravel’s horrified scream rang out as she looked at the hall which was filled with corpses, burnt bodies and severely injured people on the brink of death.

Rigel’s eyes shook as he heard Ravel. He immediately grabbed her and hugged her preventing her from seeing any more. The scene within the hall was too cruel and repulsive. The cries of hundreds and deaths of dozens, Rigel knew that this would forever scar Ravel.

“It is good to see you Shanya. How long has it been? 30 years or 40 years. You have aged Shanya. The woman who used to turn heads is no longer huh! Age is one strange thing, isn’t it Shanya?” An old voice rang out as an old man slowly walked towards them stepping over corpses.

Ragnar and Matriarch Shanya looked at the old man who still looked like an average person. The old man smiled and narrowed his eyes. His body trembled slightly and grew a head taller, his face changed and from within him emerged a tyrannical aura which swept the hall like a storm.

Shayna’s eyes turned red in anger as finally realised who the old man was, she clenched her fists and roared in a loud voice, “Li.”

The old man was the Patriarch of the Li sect, Lord Li. A smile lit up on his face as he glanced at Shayna and said in a teasing voice, “Eh! You still remember me Shanya. How unexpected? Sorry that we had to reunite under such circumstances.

I would love to talk to you about old times, but unfortunately, we are on tight schedule, I don’t want that scary old bastard Liongate to interfere. So do me a favour and surrender peacefully. I promise a painless and swift death.”

“Bastard,” Ragnar roared loudly and charged forward only to be stopped by Matriarch Shanya.

Ragnar looked at Matriarch Shanya in confusion and so did the other five elders in the hall because they were at an absolute advantage in numbers.

While the other side had only Lord Li, they had six Peak Spark formation stage experts and Matriarch Shanya. They didn’t understand why she was still unwilling to attack Li at once.

“Don’t underestimate him.” Matriarch Shanya said in a low voice and continued, “Our Shia clan has two while the Xia sect has four Soul Ignition stage experts. However, Li sect only has him.

Do you know what this means? Usually in such a situation, Li sect should have perished long ago under our strength, and yet, they continue to be our equal, in fact, stronger in some aspects. He is not someone you guys can fight. Stay back.”

Ragnar gritted his teeth and clenched his fists until blood dripped off his fists. Patriarch Li smiled brightly and glanced at Matriarch Shanya. “Eh! Why don’t you let them have a shot at killing me Shanya? I want to see why this hot headed fool of yours is given praises as being one of the strongest of his generation.

Ragnar, is it? Kid, you should have lived a carefree life. I don’t see fear in your eyes. If you think, that is an aspect of a great warrior; you can’t be more wrong. Fearlessness is a symbol of immaturity.

The world is huge. You are nothing but a rat in a rather small hole. Come to me; I will teach you some wisdom kid.”

Ragnar could only clench his fist and stay silent. He did want to attack at that instant, but upon thinking, he realised that Matriarch Shanya was indeed right. Li had not only dared to barge into Shia clan but also had absolute confidence to crush them all.

“Stand back Ragnar. Protect Derek and Ravel. Don’t let him reach Ezareal.” Matriarch Shanya said in a cold voice and patted her bag of holding. A dozen golden flying swords emerged from her bag and formed a double layered Pentagon around her with head and tail made up of one sword each.

Li smiled slightly and waved his hand. A two-metre long staff emerged from his bag of holding and floated before him. He licked his lips and asked in a cold voice, “Oi! Oi! Aren’t you too cautious? What? Did you remember your husband’s death? He was a fine man; I still remember slitting his throat.”

“Bastard,” Shanya roared loudly and kicked the floor. Her figure disappeared and reappeared before Li, who smiled and flicked his finger. The staff rotated at high speed and attacked Shanya who snorted coldly and waved her hand.

The Pentagon sword formation struck the staff. A gust of immense energy swept the manor, and the walls shook under the pressure.

“Oh! It looks like you improved since I last met you Shanya, but it isn’t enough.” Li said in a calm voice and disappeared.

Shayna’s face flickered she tapped her bag of holding, a giant leaf appeared out of nowhere and wrapped around her just in time as a hand struck her.

A loud sound rang out and Matriarch retreated five steps. Her face was pale, but she managed to stand on her feet. A look of surprise was on Li’s face when he saw that Matriarch Shanya was able to withstand his attack.

“Heh! A top tier Soul Ignition stage defensive artifact huh! How did you manage to get such a treasure?” Li asked in a questioning voice.

Although he didn’t particularly look irritated by the fact that Matriarch Shanya had a defensive artifact on her, one could see the caution in his eye. Normally, it was easy for him to dispose of Shanya, but a top tier Soul Ignition stage defensive artifact made it ten times harder.

In a normal fight, he wouldn’t mind and slowly chip away at her until he managed to land a lethal strike but now he was short on time. He did take precautions to obstruct Liongate, but there was no way to delay him for an extended period.

Although, Li didn’t fear Liongate. He knew very well, how powerful Liongate was. With him here, it will be almost impossible for him to kill Shanya.

“Defending won’t save you Shanya. Defeating me will. Aren’t you going to attack?” Li asked in a calm voice.

The leaf opened slightly, and Matriarch Shanya looked at Li coldly and said in a calm voice, “I only need to defend myself until Liongate comes back. I sent him a message through a transmission scroll as soon as I knew it was you. He should be here in a few minutes.”

“Bitch!” Li cursed loudly as he heard Shanya. He didn’t foresee that Shanaya would use a transmission scroll immediately nor did he think that Shanya would have a top tier defensive artifact on her.

Transmission scrolls were a type of artifact to send a one-way message to any divine sense at a distant location usually unreachable by one’s divine sense.

Li sighed in his heart and thought, “Well, I shouldn’t expect that everything will go as I expect it to.” He then smiled coldly at Shanya and said in a calm voice, “I see, you are indeed right that with that defensive artifact, I really can’t kill you in a few minutes.

However, you are wrong about one thing Shanya. Did you really think I wouldn’t take precautions to make sure Liongate won’t come back too early?”

Matriarch Shanya smiled coldly and said in a low voice, “That won’t change anything. He will be back for sure. All I need to do is to stay alive until then.”

“True,” Li agreed with a smile on his face and continued, “but do you really think that I will wait for Liongate. Who do you think you are dealing with bitch?

My goal, this time, is to deliver a devastating blow on your Shia clan. It doesn’t matter how. Killing you is the best way, but I can instead kill all the elders, the clan leader, all the Spark formation stage experts in this room and Oh yeah! Your only grandson. What do you think about it?

Don’t tell me, all of them have a top tier Soul Ignition stage defensive artifact to protect themselves? Or do you think, I am not capable of killing everyone in this room within a few minutes.”

Everyone’s eyes widened as they heard Li. Rigel stared at him with cold eyes. Li’s words were very sinister, but it was the best way to achieve his goal. Such a plan could never cross the mind of a person unless he were a cold hearted bastard who didn’t mind killing hundreds of thousands of people to achieve his goals.

Matriarch Shanya narrowed her eyes and gritted her teeth, but she could find no way to stop Li. As long as she stayed within the protective leaf, she wouldn’t be able to attack, and she had no doubt that Li wouldn’t hesitate to do exactly what he had just suggested.

Shanya looked at Ezareal among those who were protected by Ragnar and the elders and closed her eyes. The leaf unwinded and Shanya calmly walked out.

Li smiled and twisted his neck as he said, “Good girl.” His aura suddenly became ten times colder as his killing intent reached heavens. The staff in his hands suddenly began to emit cold aura as ice formed on its surface.

Outside the Shia clan, Patriarch Liongate and Orlon were hurrying at high speed. A few minutes ago they heard a loud sound and then sensed an intense energy ripple originating from Shia clan.

Without wasting a second, Liongate hurried back followed by Orlon. He had a dreadful feeling and a minute later; he got the message of Matriarch Shanya.

“Li.” Liongate clenched his fist in anger. He knew very well how powerful Li was and also the fact that Shanya was no match for him. He could only hope that nothing happens to her or anyone before he reached the clan.

At that moment, Liongate suddenly felt an intense sense of danger. He stopped in his tracks and retreated while simultaneously grabbing Orlon just in time to miss the activation of a delayed seal which would have trapped him.

Liongate looked at the seal and narrowed his eyes while Orlon stared at someone who walked from the other side and widened his eyes. Liongate followed his gaze and saw Shukla walking towards them along with Leyden and Boler.

“Shukla,” Liongate said through gritted teeth.

Shukla smiled coldly while Boler sighed and said in a calm voice, “Ah! I guess I was too optimistic to expect a person of his expertise to fall into a trap of this level. Well, we weren’t depending on the trap to begin with, so the failure is still within acceptable range.”

Leyden twisted his neck as he looked at Liongate and said in a calm voice, “You are not going anywhere, old man. The three of us may not be enough to defeat you, but we are more than sufficient to delay you.”

Liongate narrowed his eyes as he heard Leyden. All three of them were still in Spark formation stage, but he felt a certain sense of danger from them.

He wasn’t sure why, but he could tell from experience that none of them were your ordinary Spark formation stage experts.
